Ilkley Moorfield School's denim uniforms raise £200
10:10am Monday 14th October 2013 in Local news
Wearing jeans to school is not a normal part of school uniform, but the staff and children at Ilkley’s Moorfield School turned out in their best jeans in aid of a good cause.
They were raising money for the National Jeans For Genes appeal, by being ‘fined’ £2 for the privilege of wearing them. Headteacher, Jessica Crossley, said: “It’s our tradition to raise money for both local and national charities and we have had a great day doing it. We raised £200 for a great cause.”
