Consultation on planned Yorkshire Dales bus cut
10:00am Sunday 13th October 2013 in Local news
Passengers who use a Yorkshire Dales bus service connecting Ilkley, Addingham and Grassington have until November 25 to respond to a council consultation on proposed cuts.
People in Wharfedale who use the 74 service fear its loss – part of plans by North Yorkshire County Council to reduce bus subsidy spending by £1.1 million – could hit walkers and leisure travellers, plus rural communities who rely on the bus link.
The Friends of DalesBus says the cuts would have a serious impact on many Monday-to-Saturday bus services.
The consultation closes on Monday, November 25. Visit northyorks.gov.uk/busconsultation for more information or to respond.
