Wharfedale duo team up for top notch ready meals

Wharfedale restaurateur and chef Chris Monkman is working with butcher Lishman’s of Ilkley to develop a gastropub-inspired range of ready-to-cook meals.
With a career in the restaurant trade spanning more than 30 years, Chris will employ his knowledge and expertise to produce take-home meals that will complement the globally-inspired items that delicatessen manager Gareth Heaton has developed over the last eight months.
Chris said: “David Lishman and I have know one another for many years and I have always admired his meat-sourcing philosophy and his entrepreneurial approach to showcasing these top quality cuts in the shop.
“My aim is to champion what David and his team already do by creating hot meals, inspired by my restaurateur years, which brim with Lishman’s fresh and welfare friendly cuts of meat.”
