North Yorkshire County Council has again delayed its decision over plans to tip thousands of tonnes of inert waste on Addingham farmland.
Planners have secured another extension on the period for the determination of the application for land at Farfield Farm, Bolton Road, until October 31.
The scheme is for the agricultural improvement of the land, filling in a ravine to make it easier for farm machinery to tackle gorse, thistles and nettles, making it suitable for grazing.
But there as been local objection, plus concern about truck movements on backroads and the effect on the landscape.
The plan went before a North Yorkshire County Council committee in June this year, and was recommended for approval by officers. But councillors opted to delay their decision awaiting a site visit.
