The Bolton Abbey Estate has introduced a new children’s self-guided adventure trail.
Running through woodland between the Stepping Stones and Cavendish Pavilion, the one-mile Welly Walk can be started at either end.
It includes obstacles and challenges, including tunnels, slides, mazes, ladders, balance beams, swings and, for the more adventurous, a spot of tree-climbing under the watchful eye of qualified instructors.
There is a charge of £2.50 per child for each climb but the rest of the trail can be enjoyed for free.
