Pupils from Moorfield School in Ilkley took part in the Climate Week one-hour challenge.

Thousands of people from schools, colleges, universities and workplaces all over the country have been involved in the national campaign to inspire a new wave of action on climate change.

After the challenge to design the ultimate eco-home was revealed to pupils, groups were inspired to create a poster showing their ideas.

A fridge was powered by vibrations from the floor. Recycled pond water was piped in for a washing machine. One group designed a tree house with walls made entirely out of reformed household rubbish.

Pupils are hoping that some of their designs might catch on.
