10:20am Tuesday 12th March 2013 in Local news
The nominations for elections to Bradford Teaching Hospitals’ Council of Governors have closed.
Elections will be held in the membership constituencies of Bradford South, Keighley, Shipley and the ‘Patient’ membership constituency which includes members who live outside Bradford.
Voting packs will be distributed to Foundation Trust members and the deadline for return of completed ballot papers is March 19. The results will be announced on March 20.
Chris Allcock, trust secretary, said: “We would encourage all Foundation Trust members who receive their ballot paper to participate in these elections and make their vote count.
“Bradford Teaching Hospitals actively encourages its members to take part in all aspects of hospital life and this is one more way that the people can get involved. The Council of Governors plays an impor-tant part in running our six hospitals and it is important people have their say on who will be our next governors.”
