Pupils and staff at The Froebelian School in Horsforth are celebrating after half the pupils in Year 6 gained scholarships to independent high schools.

Nine of the 18 pupils have been offered scholarships to Woodhouse Grove School, Gateways School and Harrogate Ladies College – and every pupil has gained a place at their chosen senior school.

Headmaster John Tranmer said the results were testament to the hard work and commitment from the children.

“We are very proud of our Year 6 youngsters and the hard work they have put into gaining these incredible results,” he said.

“I would also like to congratulate the staff who have worked so hard to ensure the children have succeeded in gaining places at their first-choice school.”
