Ilkley councillor takes chair for fourth time

A long-serving councillor is set to take on the role of Ilkley Parish Council chairman for the fourth time this May. Parish and district councillor Mike Gibbons, who is currently Deputy Lord Mayor of Bradford, was accepted as chairman elect at Ilkley Parish Council’s meeting on Monday. Coun Gibbons was chairman of the Ilkley local council in 2001, 2002, and 2005, and as well as his role on Bradford Council, he is currently vice-chairman of the parish council. No other councillors were nominated for the role.
