Benton Park pupils praised over value added status

Sixth-formers have been praised after an assessment which put their school in the top ten per cent for value added performance.

The rating, from the education group Alps, measures exam results over a three-year period and shows Rawdon’s Benton Park retaining its position in the top ten per cent of post-16 institutions for value-added performance.

Acting head teachers Steve Dixon and Delia Martin said: “We are immensely proud of the high standards reached by our sixth-form students.

“The Alps measure shows that, no matter what the students’ ability, they will thrive at Benton Park.”

Alps provides value-added reports and training to more than 1,400 schools and colleges around the country, with the aim of raising standards of student performance.
