Hunky waiters and bunny angels will serve cocktails to theatre-goers in Yeadon at a production of La Cage Aux Folles.

Audiences are being urged to arrive early for the 7.15pm performance so they can enjoy a drink served by the waiters and waitresses all dressed to please.

The hunks and angels have been selected by Yeadon Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society to patrol the auditorium and bar area from 6.45pm, to give audiences the immediate feel that they have arrived in St Tropez – the setting for the show.

As the lead character Albin (played by Andrew Walton) as his drag alter-ego Zaza says: “Here at La Cage we live life on an angle.”

Publicity director Jayne King said: “There will certainly be a lot of eye candy on show before the curtain rises – so make sure you get to the theatre in plenty of time. All our guys and gals are gym fanatics and personal trainers – the perfect start to a night at La Cage Aux Folles.”

Performances will take place in Yeadon Town Hall at 7.15pm from March 12 to 16. Ring 075 706 10989 for tickets.
