Wharfedale walkers tackle Three Peaks challenge

Walkers from Wharfedale are invited to join the annual Three Peaks Challenge which raises money for Heart Research UK.

Every year walkers from across the country join the charity’s team at Horton-in-Ribblesdale to take part in the challenge, which see them take on three of the highest peaks in the Yorkshire Dales – Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough – to help raise cash for research into the prevention, treatment and cure of heart disease. There is no entry fee and no minimum sponsorship.

Barbara Harpham, national director at Heart Research UK, said: “So many of us are affected by heart disease, whether it’s experiencing it first hand or losing a loved one. To take part visit: heartresearch.org.uk/hike-your-heart-yorkshire-three-peaks-challenge-2013 or call 0113 234 7474 to request an information pack.
