Town mayor Councillor Mary Vickers with artist David Johnson and some of his work
The works of local artist David Johnson have taken centre stage at a recently-opened Otley art gallery.
An on-sale collection of Mr Johnson's paintings, entitled A Study of Trees, will be exhibited at The Old Grammar School Gallery throughout February.
The exhibition opened at the gallery - which itself only launched in January - last Saturday, February 2, when Otley town mayor Councillor Mary Vickers (Lib Dem, Prince Henry) was among the guests.
Gallery director Zack Whitehead said: "Anyone visiting the gallery in February can expect to walk into a painted forest, watched by the scarred eyes of the trees as they circulate the space."
Wild animals carved from stone, ceramic totems, and other paintings and works in glass and driftwood are also on display as part of the static gallery exhibits.
The gallery is open from 10am to 4pm, Monday to Saturday.
