Ilkley toilets could be bricked up

Closed public toilets at the King’s Hall in Ilkley could be walled up or turned into lit recesses following a request from Ilkley Parish Council.
Ilkley councillors wrote to Bradford Council asking for the toilets in Station Road to be bricked up.
Bradford has now replied, saying it would be possible to block off the toilets, or convert the doorways into lit recesses.
The request followed repeated debates over many years about refurbishing and re-opening the toilets.
The issue is to be debated at the next monthly meeting of Ilkley Parish Council on Monday, February 4.
