Ilkley U3A talk on family research
11:00am Friday 11th January 2013 in Local news
Researching your family tree will be the subject of the next Ilkley and District U3A Saturday morning talk on January 19.
Louise Le Marquand will give the talk at the Clarke Foley Centre, in Cunliffe Road.
The organisation will meet for coffee from 10am, with the presentation taking place from 10.45am to noon.
Family history is a subject many Ilkley U3A members have found intriguing. Many are interested to learn about resources and techniques for their own investigations and to gain an insight into other people’s discoveries.
The U3A holds regular drop-in sessions for prospective, new or current members. These provide an opportunity to meet with committee members to chat about the U3A and find out what it can offer you via its many interest and activity groups. People can also discuss volunteering opportunities if they would like to start up a new group.
Drop-in sessions are held every first Friday of the month between 10.30am and noon at the KIVCA office, Riddings Road, Ilkley. Visit the website ilkleyu3a.org, phone (01943) 465059 or e-mail info@ilkleyu3a.org for further information about the U3A in Ilkley and Wharfedale.
