Addingham and Bolton Abbey Poppy Appeal collects £4,843

The 2012 Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal raised more than £4,843 in Addingham and Bolton Abbey, it has been revealed. Organisers of the appeal have finished counting up the money collected, and can reveal a total of £4,843 in the two communities. They gave special thanks to village Cubs and Scouts and the RBL Ladies Section, which worked hard on door-to-door collecting. The branch is continuing to look for new recruits, who do not need to be from a service background. Contact the secretary, Geoff Hairsine, on (01943) 839773.
