Otley Chamber of Trade past president, Trevor Backhouse, with some items on sale from a previous antiques fair
A Chamber of Trade-organised antiques fair will be held in Otley this weekend.
The event, featuring a variety of furniture, porcelain and long case clocks, runs from 10am to 4pm on Saturday at Otley Courthouse.
A valuation service, where people can have items from their homes indepen-dently assessed, will also be on offer.
Otley Chamber past president, Trevor Backhouse, said: “We started doing these a couple of years ago in response to the suggestion there was nowhere in Otley to buy substantive antiques, such as furniture.
“I’m pleased to say there are now a few places that occasionally display larger pieces, so the antiques fair has to some extent answered the question.
“We are more than happy to continue promoting these events to help fund the chamber’s Christmas trees and lights for the town, to supplement those the town council puts up out of public funds.”
