Otley residents are being urged to suggest how the town council should spend £5,000 of its budget... while they still can.
The council is in the process of introducing participatory budgeting, which is designed to be more democratic by letting the public nominate ideas for community projects and then vote on the shortlisted schemes.
The deadline for Voice Your Choice suggestions is 5pm on November 9 – extended by one week – so anybody interested in taking part needs to visit otleytown-council.gov.uk and complete an online form.
More details can also be obtained by e-mailing Jason Knowles at community@ otleytowncouncil.gov.uk or by calling (01943) 466335.
A public ballot on the shortlisted projects will be held early in 2013, with the best-supported schemes receiving funding.
