Otley firm Words&Pictures’ management team (including managing director Tony Layton holding the number ‘2’) celebrate scooping 125 industry awards in ten years
An Otley-based editorial design firm is celebrating scooping its 125th award in ten years.
Words&Pictures believes it has now set a new record – outside of London – after picking up its latest accolades at the Institute of Internal Communications’ regional awards evening.
The business landed four more class-winning awards and six for excellence at the event, which was held at the Marriott Hotel in Manchester.
The new accolades were in recognition of outstanding internal communications work for corporate clients, including Honda, Hallmark, Direct Line Group, SSP, Aon and Starbucks.
The company’s education division also received two awards of excellence for design and effective use of small budgets for school communications, and Words&Pictures received a further excellence award as Agency Team of the Year.
Chief executive officer of the Institute of Internal Communications, Steve Doswell, said: “Words&Pictures impressed our judges once again in the North Awards this year with its work for clients in different sectors across a spread of categories.
“Ultimately, it’s the quality that counts.”
Chairman and founder of Words&Pictures, Tony Layton, put the firm’s continuing success down to a “consistently high level of creativity and innovation” from its wider team.
He said: “Our goal has always been to create the most outstanding internal communications company in the UK. It’s great a northern company has been able to achieve that, and these new awards simply add to the impressive successes of our fantastic people. I can’t praise them enough.”
The company’s other clients include Boots, Procter&Gamble, Asda, Everything Everywhere and Morrisons.
