Ilkley Literature Festival 2012 broke all records by attracting more than 25,000 visitors in total to its 200-plus events.
This year’s packed, 17-day programme officially came to a close on Sunday, and director Rachel Feldberg has labelled it “extremely successful”.
Many celebrities were attracted to attend, ranging from Monty Python’s Michael Palin to sports commentator Clare Balding.
