Primark has removed a festive candle from sale after a Facebook post showing one engulfed in flames went viral.
Jenny Ferneyhough raised safety fears after sharing before and after photos of her White Frosted Christmas Tree Candle.
The candle appeared to be very much more alight than intended, with fire shooting up from the edges.
In her post, which has been shared nearly 80,000 times, Jenny wrote: "This is a candle I bought in Primark Manchester for £5 on Saturday. I am concerned that it poses a risk to the safety of anyone who owns one."
A Primark spokeswoman said: “We take the safety of our customers and quality of our products very seriously. We are removing the product from sale while we investigate this complaint as a matter of urgency.”
