Wharfedale Committee for Yorkshire Cancer Research are hosting a luncheon on October 17 to raise money for the regional charity.

Wharfedale Committee for Yorkshire Cancer Research are hosting a luncheon on October 17 to raise money for the regional charity.

The event, held at Otley Golf Club, is at 12.30pm, and includes a two-course lunch with speaker Jean Marshall talking about Busbys of Bradford.

Tickets priced at £20 are available to buy on 0113 250 3238.

Committee chairman Pam Laurie said: “This is an annual event for us and it seems to be more popular each year.

“We hope this year is just as successful and we raise lots of money for Yorkshire cancer Research.”

Since forming in 1971, Wharfedale Committee has raised about£180,000 for the charity.
