Marco Pierre White cooked up support for vulnerable veterans when he helped to launch a bakery scheme.
The celebrity chef, who is a partner at The Box Tree, in Ilkley, was at Harewood House for the launch of plans to build a Veterans’ Artisan Bakery at Catterick Garrison. The bakery will give veterans the chance to start new lives by providing vocational training and accredited qualifications. Marco, who grew up in Leeds and trained at The Box Tree, said: “I strongly believe we all have a duty to support our soldiers and that duty of care shouldn’t stop on their return home.”
He stressed his respect for soldiers serving on the frontline and said he was honoured to support the bakery project.
