A little-known actor from Ilkley is set to hit the big time on Christmas Day when he features in a Doctor Who special.
Danny Horn, pictured, landed himself a key role in the cult show and will appear on millions of television screens on the big day alongside the Doctor, Matt Smith, Sir Michael Gambon and singer Kathryn Jenkins.
Mr Horn, 21, landed a part in the Christmas special just a week after finishing drama school and was whisked off to Wales for filming during the summer.
Until the role in Doctor Who came along, the former member of the Ilkley Upstagers had only performed in front of the cameras for a short film.
But now family, who live in West Yorkshire, friends and former acting colleagues will be looking forward to seeing the former Ilkley Grammar School pupil get his big break.
