Tickets for the third Ilkley Beer Festival will go on sale on Tuesday.

One hundred real ales from across the country will be available to sup at the King’s Hall and Winter Gardens on February 5 and 6, along with wine for the first time.

Organised by the Ilkley and District Round Table, the previous two events have been sold out.

Festival chairman Richard Bradley said: “We’re really excited about our third festival which will be even bigger and better than last year.

“Feedback last year from local residents and the area’s real ale drinkers was fantastic and we anticipate that tickets will almost certainly sell out before Christmas.”

The festival is supported by Bradford Council and the Bradford branch of the Campaign for Real Ale (Camra).

The Ilkley Brewery Company, which recently won an award for its beer Mary Jane, will provide a bar for the first time and Lishman’s of Ilkley will serve food.

Proceeds from last year’s event were distributed to local organisations such as Ilkley Rugby Club, Ben Rhydding Scouts, Ilkley Good Neighbours, St John Ambul-ance and play groups.

Mr Bradley said: “After the huge success of previous years, we are aiming to raise over £30,000 from the beer festival, which will be invested back into the local community.

“We encourage worthy causes to contact us after the event if they have projects that we can help them with.”

Jonathan Wearing, of Leeds solicitors Ison Harrison which is sponsoring the event for the third time, said the company was delighted to be involved.

“We have strong links with the Ilkley community and are proud to support the event again.

“We wish the festival and Ilkley and District Round Table every success,” he said.

Tickets cost £5, which includes a festival pint glass and programme, and are available on Tuesday.

They can be bought from the Bar t’at in Ilkley, the Junction in Otley, the Junction in Baildon, the Narrow Boat in Skipton and Coopers in Guiseley.

They can also be ordered on the website ilkleybeerfestival.org.uk and will be distributed on a first come first served basis.
