There were dramatic scenes on one of the city’s busiest roads today after police spotted a car that was linked to an earlier crime.
The car was abandoned on Thornton Road, Bradford, and three people ran from the scene.
Police have since revealed that the car was suspected to have been used in a burglary.
That break-in had taken place just an hour before police caught sight of the car.
“Lots of property” was left in the vehicle and the evidence is now being scrutinised by crime scene investigators.
PC Pearson, a Bradford-based traffic officer, tweeted an update on the incident which read: “Vehicle used in a burglary approximately an hour ago seen on Thornton Road, 3 x runners from the vehicle but lots of property in the vehicle. Hope CSI get the result they need.”
