A CHARITY garden party at Abbeydale Residential Home, Grove Road, Ilkley raised £1,412 for the Ilkley Friends of Martin House.
A craft corner raised over £100 selling items made by residents and staff at Abbeydale such as badges, clothes, cushions and dreamcatchers. The ladies who are partially sighted, also made beaded jewellery. There was also a raffle and a tombola with prizes donated by shops and restaurants within the local community such as The Box Tree, Café J and many more.
Other attractions included an old fashioned sweet shop, a bake off, and face painting. Martin House held with their own raffle and guess the name of the teddy bear, organised by Pam Ravenscroft. Also in attendance were Alice Collins, Mason’s Gin, Little Lover’s Ceramics and Lucy’s Candle Company all contributed their profits to the fund.
