IT was a happy year for A Level results at Craven College where the pass rate was 100 per cent.

Lauren Hought, a mature student from Ilkley, achieved straight Bs in Chemistry, Biology and Maths and is enthusiastically taking up her place at York University to study Molecular Biology.

Lauren was inspired to retake her A Levels and study for a place at York University after visiting a friend who was an under graduate there. "I have really enjoyed the College environment where I have been able to manage my own time and be much more self-sufficient than at school," said Lauren.

Robert Bellfield, Principal said: “Every year I am so proud of how hard our students work. It is particularly pleasing to see the students achieve the A Level and BTEC grades they need for the next stage in their lives whether a university course or Apprenticeship. I would also like to pay tribute to the teaching staff who have supported and inspired these young adults.”
