A SKIPTON woman has raised £3,800 for Manorlands Hospice, Oxenhope, in memory of her father, Peter Wild, a former headteacher and musical director.

Annmarie Harford raised most of the money by taking part in the charity's 'Solstice Saunter', a five mile run that took place on the longest day of the year at Bolton Abbey.

She also held a raffle, with prizes donated by businesses in Skipton and in Keighley.

"My dad was only at Manorlands for less than 48 hours for end of life care and the ongoing support to my mum, Mary Wild, and our family has been amazing, and that is why I have raised the money," said Annmarie.

“I was really well supported by all my family, friends and clients at Skipton Health and Fitness during my time fundraising," she said.

"Small’s Showrooms in Keighley donated a hamper for a raffle and David Gallagher funeral directors in Keighley were a great help with a church collection and their Just Giving donation page."

Molly Ralphson, community fundraiser for Manorlands said: “Annemarie has done an incredible job raising such a large amount for the hospice in memory of her dad and we are really grateful for her efforts and for the support her friends, family and clients have given her. I can only imagine how proud her dad must have been of her”.
