A PUBLIC meeting will be held at Ben Rhydding this week for anyone concerned about anti-social behaviour in the area.

Police Inspector Khalid Khan will be at the event, which starts at 6pm on Friday, August 10 in St John's Church Hall.

In April local people packed out a meeting of Ilkley Parish Council to ask for help after enduring a two year “reign of terror” from teenagers.

Last month people living in Ben Rhydding came to a council meeting again, claiming they were still being subjected to violence and intimidation despite police action to clamp down on problems. At that meeting a police spokeswoman stressed that anti-social behaviour was the number one priority in the area, and said they had secured extra resources to tackle the problem.

This week Ilkley councillors were told police had now introduced extra manpower in Ilkley.
