A MOUNTAIN biker who fell on a track near Kettlewell at the weekend was helped by members of the Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association.
Volunteers were called out at just before midday on Saturday by police after the male biker fell on the track to Langcliffe, about three quarters of a mile from the road.
A spokesman for UWFRA said: "The casualty had come off their bike landing on left hip, they were unable to straighten the leg or bear any weight. The casualty was given first aid, before being carried by stretcher, to Kettlewell to await the ambulance."
