RESIDENTS and visitors to Ilkley alike are being encouraged to discover the town on foot and raise money to support the Ilkley Manor House Trust at the same time.

Thanks to the generosity of a local benefactor and the Airienteers – the orienteering club for Wharfedale and Airedale – the Trust has introduced the Ilkley Photo Trail in time for the summer holidays.

The Trail guide is available from Ilkley Tourist Information Centre, White Wells café, the Grove Bookshop and the Manor House and for £1.5.

It enables people to explore the town identifying its famous landmarks. There are a total of 36 photos as part of the trail.

All proceeds from the sale of the Photo Trail leaflet will go to support the work of the Ilkley Manor House Trust.

Sir Rodney Brooke, Chair of IMHT said: “We would like to thank the generous local benefactor and the Airienteers for their support and for producing and donating the Ilkley Photo Trail leaflet which will give great enjoyment to visitors and those that live in the town.”

The Trail is ideal for children of all ages to help while away the long summer holidays whilst getting to know more about Ilkley and helping to preserve the fabulous Manor House.
