Otley Carnival's Press and Publicity Officer, Nigel Gill, said: "The carnival judges had yet another difficult decision due to the high standard of floats and they found it difficult to choose the winners.

"The committee would like to thank all entries for making this year’s event another success.

"We would also like to thank Cooper Transport, Edward Johnston (Great Wall), Houldsworth Builders and Robert Midgley for providing lorries/vehicles for the parade; and Gary Stead and Dr Nick Allen for providing their cars.

"We would also like to thank Stephen H Smith for providing decorations for the Queen's float.

"Finally, we thank our parade judges - Ann Whiers from Harrogate Grammar School, Colin Whiers from Selby 6th Form College and Betty Syril, formerly from Syril Academy Dance School, at Baildon.

"We hope all those who watched the parade enjoyed themselves and work will commence shortly for the 2019 carnival!"
