THE Keighley and Ilkley Conservative Association has announced Councillor Mike Gibbons will be the Conservative candidate to stand for the Ilkley seat in May's local elections.
Cllr Gibbons (Con, Ilkley) has been a parish and district councillor for 26 years. "I hope to be able to continue the work I have always done - fighting for Ilkley and Ben Rhydding and to keep Ilkley the special place that I believe it to be."
Cllr Gibbons recently attended a meeting in Bradford with Home Secretary Amber Rudd were communities and safety were discussed.
