CONCERT-GOERS are being invited to vote for their favourite song to be performed at this summer’s Classic Ibiza event at Harewood.

The winning tracks will be added to the set list to be performed live by the orchestra, DJ Goldierocks and a host of vocalists.

Thousands are expected to attend the Classic Ibiza with Ministry of Sound concert at Harewood House on July 28. And they are being given the chance to add their favourite dance tracks to the show.

A shortlist will be published on Classic Ibiza’s Facebook page on March 30, and voting will be open until April 6, with the winning tracks being announced on April 9.

Performed by The Urban Soul Orchestra (USO), DJ Goldierocks and a host of live vocalists, the Classic Ibiza set-list already includes some of the most iconic dance tunes dating back to the 90s. The evening starts with a chill-out set where people can enjoy their picnics and a drink, or dance along as the sun fades. Then DJ Goldierocks will turn things up in the interval, getting the crowd into the mood before the orchestra and vocalists return to the stage to bring a vibrant atmosphere to the summer evening.

USO has performed and recorded with a veritable who’s who in the dance music industry, including Nightmares On Wax, Groove Armada, Ultra Naté, Octave One, Full Intention, Soul II Soul, Robert Miles, Sonique and Spiller.

Stephen Hussey, founder and conductor of USO, said:

“Truly memorable live performances, whether you’re a performer or a punter, are those that create a magical connection between the musicians and the audience. It’s difficult to put your finger on exactly what it is, but when it happens there’s an unseen power that energises everybody involved and you are guaranteed a night to remember.

“This is what the Classic Ibiza crowd can expect and by giving them the opportunity to vote for their favourite tracks to be included in the set-list we’re adding a bit of extra spice to an already heady-mix.”
