ILKLEY’S newest independent drinks venue The Ticket Office is celebrating its first 100 days of trading with a cash boost to a group of cancer charity fundraisers.
Through sales of its signature Rhubarb Triangle cocktail, the Ticket Office is making a donation to Ilkley Candlelighters, who raise money to fund ongoing research into childhood cancer. Since opening in December, the premium drink venue has sold 500 of the popular cocktails, generating a donation of £250 for the charity fundraisers.
Alison Clay, chair of Ilkley Candlelighters said: “We’re very grateful to The Ticket Office for supporting Ilkley Candlelighters, a group run entirely by volunteers so that every penny we raise can go directly to fighting children’s cancer in Yorkshire.”
Lawrence Doyle, general manager at The Ticket Office said: “Our Rhubarb Triangle cocktails have proved extremely popular. Since we opened 100 days ago we’ve sold a staggering 500 of them and we’re delighted to be able to support the work of Ilkley Candlelighters with a donation of 50p for every Rhubarb triangle sold so far.”
Since opening in Ilkley’s historic railway station complex, the over 21s cocktail venue is fast developing a reputation as upscale alternative to a night out in Leeds.
Alongside its cocktail menu, The Ticket Office stocks a range of premium wines, champagnes, spirits and craft beers, as well as quality coffees and loose-leaf teas. The bar, which is also available for cocktail masterclasses and private hire, plans to open a heated outdoor terrace and launch a food menu in the spring.
