The car which was stolen in Ilkley
THE remains of a car stolen in a burglary in Ilkley have been found in Bradford.
Officers were called to reports of an ‘abandoned vehicle’ in Wyke yesterday and arrived to find only the shell of a car.
Inquiries revealed that the car had been stolen during a burglary in Ilkley three days earlier.
The vehicle, which was only five months old, had been stripped for parts.
PC Price, of the district’s anti-social bike team, tweeted: “When we get there, it’s not quite as intact as we hoped. Quite sad as it’s only 5 months old!”
