GIRLGUIDING in Wharfedale relies on its brilliant volunteers and recently recognised two leaders for their long service.
At the annual county thanks event Sue Vint from Burley was thanked for 20 years volunteering as a Guide Leader and Karen Hill from Ilkley for a magnificent 40 years volunteering with Guides and Brownies.
Jill Lister from Ilkley leads the county team of archery instructors and was thanked and recognised for her brilliant volunteering with the award of the Sheila Marks Shield, an important county award for excellent service, alongside her archery team which includes Wharfedale leaders Carol Galtry and Sharon Hattersley.
