ILKLEY-based children’s and maternity wear boutique Moda Bébé is set to hold a charity fashion show and afternoon tea event in aid of Airedale Hospital maternity unit.

The event will be held on Saturday, October 7 at Filmore & Union, Ilkley, and will centre around making women to feel happy and beautiful from the beginning of their pregnancy journey through to the midnight feeds.

Moda Bébé owner Kat Haddow said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the important services offered by Airedale Hospital’s maternity unit and hope that the funds raised will facilitate the purchase of vital new equipment.

“It will be a lovely afternoon of fun and fashion and we are sure that attendees will find it both enjoyable and informative.”

A fashion show will showcase the latest trends in maternity wear from leading designer Isabella Oliver, as well as stylish pieces from Yorkshire-based ladies’ clothing boutique, Oaks.

The event will also feature talks from maternity and parenting experts to help make the transition into motherhood as welcoming as possible. There will be guest speakers from My Expert Midwife, Harrogate, an organisation comprised of midwifery and baby care experts which helps women to achieve more positive pregnancy, delivery and motherhood experiences. The My Expert Midwife speakers will explain the hospital equipment for which the event is raising funds, and will share their advice and unique range of pre-and post-natal products.

Other speakers will include professional parenting coach Anisa Lewis, who helps families in everything from building children’s self-esteem to promoting positive home environments.

There will also be a charity raffle with prizes including a free stylist consultation from Oaks.

The event will take place from 3pm to 5pm. Tickets are £10 and can be purchased via Moda Bébé’s website, in-store or from Oaks’ Boutique and Filmore & Union Ilkley. All are welcome to attend, tickets are limited.
