PIRATES took over Guiseley's Subway to raise funds for Heart Research UK.

Staff at the store got into character for national talk like a pirate day - helping to raise more than £100 in the process.

Staff dressed up and chatted with customers throughout the day pretending to be pirates to raise money for HRUK, which is Subway’s partner charity and which benefits from the proceeds of all collection boxes in the company's stores across the UK. Staff baked their own cookies and brownies which were sold to customers and raised £37. Ian Dawes, Franchisee, also donated the proceeds from the sale of all cookies that day with a total of £64.
