RUGBY League legend Jamie Peacock will lead the line-up at a motivational event in Horsforth next week.

Leeds Trinity University will welcome the former England and Great Britain captain - and Leeds Rhinos and Bradford Bulls player - to a 'leadership and inspiration' evening on Thursday, September 14.

Joining Jamie will be a fellow rugby star - former England captain and all-time leading points scorer for the Rhinos, Kevin Sinfield MBE.

Army veteran Simon Brown, who lost most of his sight after being shot by a sniper in Iraq, and the Managing Director of Arc Inspirations, Martin Wolstencroft, will also be discussing their experiences.

The event will be hosted by BBC Sports presenter Tanya Arnold with each speaker talking for 20 to 30 minutes, with intervals for refreshments, questions and networking.

Jamie Peacock MBE, the current Hull KR and England Team manager, said: "It is important everyone has the opportunity to be inspired at different points of their lives, and this will be a night of inspiration.

"I’m delighted we’ve been able to give people access to some really high-profile motivational speakers.

"To get to see four all in one evening is really something not to be missed.

"Success is measured in many different ways, and I feel leadership is one skill that can definitely be learnt and one that I'm passionate to pass on to the students here at Leeds Trinity."

Sports Facilities Manager at Leeds Trinity University, Sarah Studds, added: "Working in the sporting environment we are all too aware of the motivation and focus required to compete and succeed in the modern world, and I am looking forward to hearing first hand stories from a real legend."

The event runs from 7pm to 10pm and tickets, priced £20, can be bought at eventbrite.co.uk or by sending an e-mail to bookings@jpinspirations.co.uk .
