CHRISTCHURCH, Ilkley, and Ben Rhydding Methodist church are opening their doors to art.
As part of the forthcoming Ilkley Art Trail, and in association with Churches Together in Ilkley, the two churches are each hosting four paintings from the prestigious Methodist Modern Art Collection. The Collection travels, in whole or in part, to art galleries, schools, cathedrals and churches throughout Britain and beyond. Many thousands of people have had the opportunity to see and be challenged by the works of nationally and internationally known artists.
Included in the works coming to Ilkley are paintings by artists of the status of Graham Sutherland, Edward Burra and William Roberts and these can be seen during the Art Trail which runs from October 5 to 8. More information is available in the Art Trail programme, available from the Tourist Information Office or from the Art Trail website ilkleyarttrail.co.uk
