A MOTORCYCLIST was left with serious injuries when he swerved off the road, avoiding a collision with an oncoming vehicle.
The 41-year-old man was taken to hospital after the accident on the B6451 near Farnley Primary School.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident, which happened at 2.30pm on Sunday.
The injured man was on a blue Honda motorcycle, travelling from the Otley direction towards Farnley, and left the road to the nearside, avoiding a black 4×4 vehicle travelling in the opposite direction.
Police say the rider's injuries were serious but not life-threatening. They are asking anyone who saw the collision, or either vehicle involved prior to it, to get in touch.
