SCOTTISH folk duo Stout and McKay will be performing in Otley next weekend.

The group, comprising Chris Stout on violin and Catriona McKay on harp, will take to the stage at the Courthouse at 8pm on Saturday, July 22.

The show marks a return to the town for the pair, who performed at the same venue - to a packed audience - two years ago.

Stout and McKay have been perfecting their sound, which adds a fresh twist to the traditional music that inspires them, for more than 20 years.

They recorded their first cd together, Laebrack back in 2005 and in 2010 presented their self-penned album, White Nights.

A Courthouse spokeswoman said: "With Chris on violin and Catriona on the harp, their last concert at the Courthouse was a sell-out and this one promises to be no different.

"This is a great way for the Courthouse to 'sign off' for the summer."

Tickets cost £13 and can be booked by visiting otleycourthouse.org.uk, calling (01943) 467466 or popping into the Courthouse, on Courthouse Street, Otley.
