PEOPLE across the district are being urged to have their say on health and wellbeing plans.

A 'big conversation' will run throughout this month and next, to gauge public views.

Spearheading the initiative is Keighley-based Healthwatch Bradford and District, on behalf of partner organisations including NHS Airedale, Wharfedale and Craven and neighbouring clinical commissioning groups.

"This is an opportunity for people to contribute ideas and thoughts which will help shape the future of local health, care and support services," said Helen Hirst, for Bradford District and Craven CCGs.

"What people tell us will have significant influence on how we plan.

"There is no doubt our health and care system is under pressure and there may be some difficult decisions that lie ahead.

"No major decisions will be made without consultation but first we need to listen to hear what really matters most to people."

Public consultation events have already taken place (July 10/12) in Keighley and Bradford, and a third is being held tomorrow (July 14), at the Mercure Bankfield Hotel, Bingley, from 1pm to 3pm.
