A TEENAGE singer from Otley is featured on a new charity single for the victims of the Manchester Arena bomb.

One Last Time, a cover of the Ariana Grande hit by the North East Artists Collective, was released on iTunes, Spotify, GooglePlayMusic and AmazonMusic last week.

Proceeds from sales will go to the British Red Cross Foundation to help those affected by the terrorist attack carried out at Grande's concert in Manchester on May 22.

Twenty two people, including Otley mother-of-two Wendy Fawell, were killed by suicide bomber Salman Abedi in the atrocity and hundreds injured.

Fifteen year old Emeli Mumford, a student at Prince Henry's Grammar School, sings the third and fourth lines of the fundraising single, whose other vocalists include Britain's Got Talent! semi-finalist Jamie Lee Harrison

Emeli's mother, Sarah, said: "She wanted to be part of the group that recorded the song as we live in Otley and know there are families here who have been affected by the Manchester Arena bombing.

"I managed to get Emeli to Gateshead to record the vocal but couldn't get her to the filming session as she had school that day!

"So they cleverly put her vocal over one of the title screens instead."

A fan of musical theatre who has been singing since she was a toddler, Emeli reached the final of the SoundWaves Music Competition - a major talent-spotting contest - earlier this year.

A regular performer, she has also written a number of her own songs which can be heard at soundcloud.com/emeli-5 .
