LOST property and coin collections at Leeds Bradford Airport are raising thousands of pounds for a children’s hospice.

The airport donates about £1,000 per year to Martin House. This month, several lost property boxes were handed over to the hospice. The items – mainly clothes – are sold in the charity’s shops.

Kayley Worsley, from LBA, said: “We are incredibly proud and pleased to support Martin House Hospice for Children and Young People – a fantastic charity that creates amazing memories for children and their families facing tough times.

“We hope that the fundraising we generate every year helps to make a difference and I’d like to say a big thanks to our passengers for helping to raise money in these ways.”

John Haigh, of Martin House, thanked the airport and added:“This is our 30th anniversary year, and the long-term support of a business like LBA is one of the reasons we are able to keep providing care for families who so desperately need it. ”
