A SERIES of drop-in consultation events for local bus passengers is underway in Wharfedale, Horsforth and Aireborough.

First Leeds is holding the sessions before it draws up proposals to improve services including the X84 Leeds to Skipton bus, which includes stops at Otley and Ilkley.

The other routes in line for improvements are the 1, 6, 19, 19A, 28, 29, 56, and 97 services.

Head of Commercial at First Leeds, Paul Turner, said: "Thank you to our customers who contributed to our survey earlier this year.

"We have received more than one thousand responses and have now developed proposals which we would like to share.

"I’d urge regular users of North West Leeds services to complete our online survey or to call into one of our events, so that we can get your views on the proposed changes."

The customer consultations began last week at Yeadon Town Hall and will continue on Tuesday, June 27 with a 2pm to 5pm session at Otley Library.

There will also be a consultation at Horsforth Community Hub / Library from 3pm to 6pm on Monday, July 3.
