TWO young performers are celebrating success after auditions with prestigious companies.

Camille Ribeiro, 14, and Daniel Burgess, 15, are both students at Ilkley-based Joze School of Dance. Camille has been accepted onto the Paris Opera Ballet Summer School and will be boarding there for two weeks intensive ballet training in July. She is currently training in the C.A.T. (centre for advanced training) programme at Northern Ballet in Leeds and is a member of Joze's elite performing group, Reps Troupe.

Daniel has been offered a place in the Youth Musical Theatre Company of 2017 in the production of A Teenage Opera and will be moving to Surrey this summer for three weeks of rehearsals and performances. He has been a member of the Ilkley dance school since he was eight years old and is a member of That-Sing-Thing and Ilkley Amateur Operatic Society. He will play Javert in the society's youth production of Les Miserables this autumn.

Jo Sproston, from Joze School of Dance, said: "I am extremely proud of both students and am very excited about their future in the world of performing arts."
