LABOUR has come within a whisker of winning Pudsey.

Conservative Stuart Andrew, who has represented the seat - which includes Horsforth and parts of Aireborough - since 2010, ended up defending it with a reduced majority of just 331, receiving 25,550 votes.

Labour's Ian McCargo was close behind on 25,219, which represented a nine per cent swing, while Allen Nixon, for the Liberal Democrats, came a distant third with 1,761.
